Review of Plan 9 from Outer Space (1957) by Hector O — 29 Nov 2009
From what I understand, these aliens come to our planet to "try to save us from ourselves, to stop us from making the Solaranite". This story kind of sounds a bit like "The Day the Earth Stood Still".
Except with the case of Klaatu trying to peace fully negotiate with the leaders, when these aliens resort to scaring us by raising the dead as said in the synopsis. Despite the continuity problems, the downright cheesiness of the delivery of the lines, and the hilarious thing of a guy prentending to be Bela Legosi by covering his face with his cape.
I found the movie to be quite enjoyable to watch. I also figured with how many times Agent Mulder watched this movie I figured it would be worth a look.
