This was a really great movie. We watched it with my 7th graders to go along with Roll of Thunder.
This is the movie that was filmed in Waxahachie, TX, which is about 7 minutes from my house. They kept showing the court house witch freaked me out because it's so familiar to me. It was really neat, for my personally.
Other than that, the plot and the acting are both awesome. Sometimes movies like this can be perceived as "cliché," but this movie overcame that. I really liked it a lot. And I kind of got teary at the end.
