Review of Places in the Heart (1984) by Jeff B — 21 Sep 2008
I finally got around to seeing this. To be honest, I didn't know much about the story of this, but just from the look of the case and the plot, I thought it was gonna be boring. Well, it was an entertaining film with a great cast.
Sally Field gives a nice Oscar winning role as a widow who is trying to save her house during the depression era in Texas. At first I didn't much care for the Ed Harris sub-plot, but as it went along I didn't mind it.
Some very nice scenes throughout, a nice script, and some great acting.
