Review of Pitch Perfect (2012) by Yash B — 12 May 2015
"Pitch Perfect" delivers exactly what it promises. Though that does include some formulaic cliches, it also includes hilarious scenes and catchy tunes. It's one of those movies that's geared towards females but I think all audiences can enjoy since the laughs are universal.
It does drag in places but the characters are all unique and likable. Kendrick is a good lead and it's impossible not to like and even occasionally relate to her character. Rebel Wilson kills as "Fat Amy" as she made me laugh in every scene involving her (that's a lot of them fortunately).
The movie isn't made for me but I can't deny that I had fun watching it. Give this one a chance, it's actually very funny with good music to support it.
