Review of Pitch Perfect (2012) by Augustina S — 27 Nov 2015

The musical numbers are entertaining enough, but they are nothing special (nothing you wouldn't find at a decent X-Factor audition, anyway). Admittedly, though, the film did bring some laughs and some genuinely fun moments.

I found the plot to be quite cliché and overall it leaves a lot to be desired, but the film does have some redeemable qualities (read: Fat Amy). It's a bit cleverer than most standard high school flicks, but not by much.

Overall it's passable entertainment but not a superb film by any means.
