Review of Pitch Perfect 2 (2015) by Will J — 14 Jul 2015

When surprise hit, Pitch Perfect came out, it did phenomenal. It brought in $61.1 million! Critics had nothing but fantastic things to say. And viewers were beyond surprised at how great it was. Elizabeth Banks did one heck of a job with that movie. From all the amazing reviews, to me, it's no surprise that there was a second one. The only problem with the second, is that it's not as funny as your expecting. Now, by no means don't get me wrong, it is funny. But the first one just had more laugh out loud parts than this one did. The story line in Pitch Perfect 2 was actually very well done. In my personal opinion it had a better story line that it's proceeder. This one intrigued my interest more than the first one did for sure. I rated the first film at four stars on flixter. This one is receiving three. The only reason to that, is that it was not as funny. It did have a better story line. And I did enjoy them the same amount, but the lack of comedy in Pitch Perfect 2 is why I think is scored lower(and that's why I'm scoring it lower).

Character evolution went surprisingly well, except for Becca and Jessie. Their characters were just the same. It disappointed me in fact. I wanted them to appear as they were closer and more connected with one another. But that never really happened. Fat Amy was funny as all ways. She said stupid stuff to lighten the mood. Fat Amy and Becca really connected more in this as friends. They became closer. Chloe was as wild and crazy as she was in the first. Her character changed the most I think. She went from being semi-stuck up, to actually enjoying herself. She started to care about everyone in the Barden Bellas. Not just herself. And last but not least, Aubrey. She went from being captain...to being a camp leader in the woods. It was weird to see her in that format, but it suited her character very well.

In the end, I think if u enjoyed the first than you will enjoy this one.
