When Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), the daughter of Governor Swann (Jonathan Pryce), is kidnapped by a group of pirates led by Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) and taken aboard their ship, The Black Pearl. Will Turner (Orlando Bloom), the young man who loves Elizabeth despite the fact that she has already been asked in proposal by Commodore Norrington (Jack Davenport). Will sets out to rescue her but he can't do it alone, so he enlists the help of swashbuckling ship captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp). Together, the two chase after The Black Pearl, but they soon discover that the captain and crew aren't your average pirates. Cursed to remain between the living and the dead, Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush)and his men look like skeletons when basked in the moonlight. When it is revealed that the only thing that can break the curse is Elizabeth's blood, Jack and Will are faced with a race against time and a battle against the undead to save the Governor's daughter.
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl is the best entertainment and action flick ever created that was inspired by the classic Disney theme park attraction. The film incorporates scenes from the rides fans will be able to pick out.Ted Elliott & Terry Rossio screenplay is extremely humorous and rousing action -packed ride for all ages to enjoy. The fighting sequences are very thrilling and well shot, my favorite sequences are the 'Raid on Port Royal' and the 'Battle of Isla de Muerta". The visual effects add a nice touch, its especially done well with the walking death that is the crew of the Black pearl and the effects are not overly done, that you barely even notice that its computer graphics.
of laugh-out-loud moments thanks mostly in part of to Johnny Depp's loony and funny portal as Captain Jack Sparrow in such a hysterical and brilliant performance of a life time. The other actors in the cast did exceptional jobs especially Geoffrey Rush as Captain Barbossa, and Kevin McNally was awesome and funny as Joshamee Gibbs. The score composed by Klaus Badelt and Hans Zimmer (Themes) is one of the most eerily mysterious feel to the music and swashbuckling epic score I've ever heard. My favorite tracks included "The Medallion Calls", "The Black Pearl", "Walking Death", "Will Dexterity", "Walk the Plank", "Captain Barbossa", "Blood Ritual", "Moonlight Serenade-To The Pirate's Cave!", "Pain", "Underwater March", "Skull & Crossbone", "Bootstraps' Bootstraps", "Pirates March", and "One Last Shot - He's a Pirate".
Overall this is a this is one of the best, and most entertaining action flick ever, its a classic. Johnny gives his most brilliant performances of his life and knocks it out of the park, absolutely hilarious. The cast all did exceptional jobs as well and the action sequences are edge of your seat excitement and very well shot and they did over load the film with computer graphics that you almost barely notice the difference between live action and computer animation. This is one of the best action flicks I've have ever came across and one of Disney's best films they ever done.
