Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl doesn't justify it's running time of 143 minutes (!) but it does provide plenty of entertainment in the form of magnificent pirate battles and a quirky and enjoyable performance from Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow.
