I like the other 'Pirates' movies, but this one is so good. Especially considering the lack of other good pirate movies before it (like that Geena Davis flop 'Cutthroat Island'). Before they bloated the plot, over-emphasized Captain Jack, and gave the pirates a ridiculous "government", there was this movie.
Perhaps the best self-contained swashbuckling movie ever made.
