Review of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003) by John B — 29 Jun 2015
I was surprised how much I enjoyed this film. Geoffrey Rush steals the show as Captain Barbosa. The story is simple but entertaining which is what the weak sequels lacked. The only major flaw in this film stopping me giving it five stars is the presence of Kiera Knightly and Orlando Bloom! They are both as wooden as the Black Pearl.
