If you wanted more of same, you got it. There are even standins for the romantic pairing the trilogy had in Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley. The CG isn't bad but it could be better in places. I like seeing more Cpn Sparrow, but ultimately this outing feels a bit rote and I'd say they could do better with some new ideas for character dynamics, not just trying to follow the recipe.
If they make more I think they could be fun, too. Bring back the Pearl!
