Review of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011) by Polish W — 01 May 2016
It's a shame I have to write this, as I truly enjoy the Pirates series. However, this was a big step down from the previous movies. With repetitive scenes and the formerly charming, mischievous Captain Jack Sparrow seeming bland and lifeless, this installment of the Pirates' universe takes a huge turn for the worse.
Overall, it soured the series terribly, the entire thing feeling extremely empty; the plot is generic, and it seems as if they attempted to weave two useless relationships into it, but it truly falls flat at the starting line.
I really hope they can bring it back in 2017.
