Review of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007) by Adam S — 21 Jan 2013
"Pirates of the Caribbean" is an often abused, yet unique movie franchise which I generally enjoy watching. This is no exception with "At World's End".
With this film and the previous "Dead Man's Chest" following one major story, it resulted in more convoluted plot threads, and a much more elaborate cast ensemble - returning stars Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Kiera Knightley, Geoffrey Rush, Bill Nighy, Jack Davenport, Naomie Harris, Skellen Skarsgard, Kevin McNally, Jonathon Pryce and Mackenzie Crook are joined by such newcomers as Chow Yun-Fat and Keith Richards. All had a part to play.
The story is epic, and full of fun and comical relief. Exactly as pirates should be. It lacks the unadulterated fun and simplicity of "Curse of the Black Pearl", but it's still a treasured film in my collection.
