Review of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007) by Godwin G — 21 Mar 2013
WHAT. THE. HELL. JUST. HAPPENED. This is the first time I've watched a Disney film so unnecessary complex and convoluted. Characters show up without even explaining why they are there. Subplots appear arbitrarily, and then ignored, and then later another subplot is introduced then another and so on.
This would work if it was just a stand alone sequel, not relying too much on continuity. The result? A mess. However, they managed to make this mess so good-looking. 2 stars for the special effects. 1 star for the acting.
Nothing else.
