Review of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007) by David S — 24 Feb 2015
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End is a movie inflated in all senses, and lacking in substance. The CGI, the over-acting, the music, the scenic composures, everything is exaggerated and emphasized, except where it counts.
The story takes bizarre turns and focuses on less than substantial plot tools. With poor acting on Knightley's part, and an anticlimactic demise of the kraken, an ending is created that leaves no impression or effects.
This third installment of a franchise built on air is tedious and tiring to watch. Such a shame that so much talent is poured into this drain.
