Review of Pirates of Silicon Valley (1999) by Peter A — 31 Jul 2007
Not a bad movie, a bit stylised (as much as a TV movie can be) but a reasonable document of a significant period in history (for those nerds who actually care about such things.) provided you have an open mind and take it with a spoonful of sugar (which you do with all such things you watch, right?).
John Di Maggio's performance as Steve Balmer is spot on. To the extent that if I saw him like that in a supermarket I'd feel the need to ram him with my trolley until his bloated body explodes in a shower or blood and innards.
(Of course I'd suffer the same end myself at the hands of Futurama fans for eliminating a much loved member of the cast.).
