Review of Pinocchio (1940) by William L — 21 Feb 2010
5 stars (Masterpiece): Possibly the greatest animated film ever made, receiving high marks for attention to detail, brilliant characterization (especially with Jiminy Cricket) and a perfect story that's consistantly interesting and surprising.
A treat for the young and young at heart. Plus, contains some of the scariest scenes ever put on film. Set a standard for animation that has never been surpassed. Great songs include "When You Wish Upon a Star" and "An Actor's Life for Me.
