Review of Pinocchio (1940) by Jon E — 03 Feb 2014
Quite simply Disney's best work I've ever seen.
Before anybody jumps to conclusions, it ain't because it's a classic. I love this one anyway.
Reasons;.
The music, so John Williams/Danny Elfman/Bernard Herrmann - obviously they didn't do this, but you know what I mean.
The scenes involving Stromboli's cage abuse, the jackass bit and the Monstro climax are plenty to give you the shudders - take that Bambi!
Even the songs are baadasssss!
