Review of Pink Floyd: The Wall (1982) by Harpreet S — 06 Sep 2012
There isn't much to be positive or negative about Alan Parker's "Pink Floyd-The Wall." It's well made with fine music, beautiful animation sequences, and so on. The material just does not appeal to me that much; the whole film is basically a long music video with symbolic images and metaphors concerning the life of a rock star named Pink.
Like, "Sid and Nancy," I think it will work best for people who are devoted to rock or music in general. The music video sequence of "Another Brick in the Wall" is the best part of the movie.
My feelings toward "The Wall" are colder or really no emotion at all. I wish to forget it; nevertheless I am glad I saw it. The other Parker film I've seen is "Angel Heart," which was not so impressive either.
