Review of Pink Floyd: The Wall (1982) by Koren C — 07 Oct 2008
The Wall is a truly exhausting experience. The film starts out with a bang and doesn't let up until it's all over. The music, much of it revised or newly created for the film, is magnificent; beautiful, deliciously complex, and filled with Roger Waters' dark poetry.
There is almost no dialogue; the music speaks for itself, and the chilling visuals, both the live action moments of "reality," and the animated glimpses of a man's internal struggle, drive the story home.
This is a movie that stays with you long after it's over.
