Review of Pink Flamingos (1972) by Scottie V — 20 Dec 2007
This movie is sick, offends in every way. If you aren't sickened by this movie there's something wrong with you but I'm giving it 5 stars because John Waters is afraid of nobody. He proved it with this movie, this is the most offensive movie I've ever seen but I wasn't offended, we need movies like this though to protect freedom of speech.
Waters is like Burroughs writing in this movie it's great but if you are easily offended don't watch it, if you want to watch the most offensive movie possible ever, possibly throw up, then go for it.
It's a gut check for sure.
