Review of Pink Flamingos (1972) by Daniel G — 17 Jan 2008
This film is a landmark cult film. As the original gross-out film, it contains numerous genuine acts of extreme perversion, yet never becomes mean spirited. In fact, the whole tone of the film is actually joyous and a little cute.
It is also home to some horrible editing and camerawork, as well as bad acting on quite a few parts. Yet this increases the campiness of it all, becoming a positive influence. All in all, it's great if you can appreicate what it is.
