Review of Pink Flamingos (1972) by Casey R — 30 Oct 2009
I can't believe it, this movie is over 35 years old and still holds up to be the most shocking and unforgettable movie I've ever seen. This movie breaks every taboo imaginable- incest, rape, murder, puke, coprophagia, animal cruelty, hermaphrodites, transvestites, nazis, and more.
John Waters manages to one-up himself with every single scene. Just when you think it couldn't go any farther, it does. This film is so impressive because everything you see on screen is real, it's both shocking and genuinely hilarious.
It's the ultimate trash film. I loved it.
