Review of Pineapple Express (2008) by John R — 04 Feb 2012

I think I had my expectations raised a little too high. "Pineapple Express" is another film from the Apatow stable, and it does generate laughs. Although some are more hit-n-miss. James Franco completely surprised me in this movie.

I had no idea Franco could do comedy so well and Seth Rogen is funny in here, as usual. The breakout star is Danny McBride because he steals every scene he is in. "Pineapple Express" has a significant amount of action scenes (some which are very funny).

This is a unique movie, but I did not no what to make of it. It was like a stoner action comedy. Like I said before, the laughs are hit and miss, but Danny McBride's performance was hilarious.
