Review of Pina (2011) by Dickie L — 30 Aug 2011
Essentially a highlights reel of Pina Bausch choreography, Wim Wenders has the good sense to stage each piece in a distinctly dramatic setting. The film doesn't gain much of an insight into Bausch through the brief interviews with her dancers, but what it lacks in depth it makes up for with sheer visual beauty.
The 3D is used to striking effect, making this a must-see big screen experience.
