Review of Pillow Talk (1959) by Robin P — 21 Jul 2010
So funny, silly & sweet....perfection! About a "Party Line"...anyone remember those?? It was when you shared a phoneline and had to work out a schedule of talk times or some such thing...
Anyway Rock Hudson and Doris Day are wonderful together in this funny cute comedy and happen to be the two who share a phoneline....he is a playboy and she is a good girl and oh the FUN this has in it when she hears his conversations with all the girls!! He sees her in person without her knowing it, and seeing she's a knockout decides to pretend to be a sweet downhome boy to get her up to his mountain cabin.
Tony Randall is also perfect as the friend. One of my all time faves! On "My Favorite Movies", "My 5 Star Chick Flicks" & "My 5 Star Funnies" lists. DVD.
