Review of Pilgrim Song (2012) by Mark G — 30 May 2017
Interesting natural and naturalistic story. Slow moving at times; the characters were convincing if not particularly likable.
A story with tensions and conflict that are commonplace yet still poignant may not be for everyone. For me, though, this film is a welcome change from the hyped up violence and over-the-top melodrama that typifies so much of our current entertainment.
The scenes of the Appalachian countryside are lovely, and again, while not normal travelogue material, gives the viewer a feel for the region.
