Review of Pieta (2012) by Petros K — 11 Jan 2013
It was the second Korean film I've ever watched and I enjoyed it as hell! The only problematic moment is probably the beginning of the film where the pace is slow. But if you make it through the first half an hour (I almost fell asleep.
..) this one can prove a quite interesting and didactic film. The plot is full of twists and revolves around an ordinary man who is forced to see the -obvious to everyone else apart from him- pain he caused to others' lives.
Although there's much violence, there hardly are any strong scenes. "Pieta" demands your full attention, however in the end of the screening you'll definitely admit its quality.
