Review of Pieces of April (2003) by Scott G — 03 Sep 2007
Nice low budget indie showing the talent katie holmes used to have, before the cruiser got his hands on her. katie is april, living with her boyfriend in newyork, to show her parents who live out of town shes coping she invites everyone out to a thanks giving dinner, which she will cook, wee see the struggle she has whilst preparing the meal, and the events going on in her life at the time, whilst we also see her family as they argue while making there way to the city, the mother also has cancer, which makes things worse, tyhe low budget is what helps this film, really gritty looking, real n.
Y tenant apartmenns add to to the drama, with great subplots as april rushes around the building hopeing people will help, great pace as well and coming in at a quick 75 mins a great watch for something light, another great slice of indie drama, great acting all round,.
