Review of Pieces of April (2003) by Vincent M — 03 Mar 2008
It isn't that 'Pieces of April' doesn't lack potential, there are many moments of poignant drama throughout the picture. The main problems I had with the film were with certain situations and dialogue that had no bearing or logic.
The film isn't sure of it's own nature therefore I wasn't quite sure how to react to most of it. 'Pieces of April' deals with very difficult subject matter in a very peculiar fashion.
It becomes quite apparent that the production of this film was not only limited in budget (which isn't always a bad thing) but limited in production time as well.
