Review of Pieces of April (2003) by Blæke W — 06 Oct 2010
Not bad sort of situational drama indie film better left for the veiwer to enjoy or not.
Its basically the story of a fammily thankgiving dinner at the daughter of all nightmares out of three siblings, a caring father and a cancer stricken mother whom may be seeing her last year at all, make up the visitors to a punk-ass flat in a big city block of all sorts which gather as support cast to try and assist this time in Aprils (Katie Holmes) life with her then love of life. A young guy trying to do what's right for them from a sub culture perspective.
Quirky predicament for all and different relationship communication breakdowns are prevelent.
Very caring picture and strong character influences bring about a very enjoyably watchable film.
