Review of Picnic at Hanging Rock (1975) by Derek C — 19 Nov 2007
The camerawork & photography from John Seale and Russell Boyd are perfect. What's most interesting is how Weir paints the inanimate Hanging Rock as this mysterious geographical phenomenon. I can't help but compare this unfortunately to "The Blair Witch Project" to show the effect of revealing too much for the audience and just enough to let the viewer's imagination paint the picture.
