A really great movie with great music...I think the guys who created the Karate Kid movies got the idea for some of their music from this film. Of course, this movie has nothing to do with Karate Kid. Interestingly, parts of this movie is reminiscent of some of Malick's work.
But Peter Weir has been a fairly consistent filmmaker over the years, and Picnic at Hanging Rock was his first achievement.
