Review of Pickup on South Street (1953) by Kris M — 20 Aug 2007
Excellent noir, with a great turn by Richard Widmark as the anti-hero and a fantastic Thelma Ritter, especially in her death scene, which is delivered with incredible pathos. Forget the hokey anti-communist sentiment which doesn't detract from the film as a whole.
