Review of Pickpocket (1959) by Lee G — 21 Feb 2007
This film is so special for me because I have never felt this liberation in a movie ending. We are anxious and trapped through all the movie, with little moments of a fake God (the robbery) very little moments of a fake beauty (the art of pickpocketing).
This film is about the rupture of the soul of a man in a compulsive world but in it, God is revealed in the things that Makes the life worth living.
