Review of Pi (1998) by Greg C — 19 Nov 2009
From the opening credits to its shocking climax, Pi is a gripping rollercoaster ride of unusual proportions. Powered by great acting and visionary cinematography; Darren Aronofsky has created a low budget masterpiece.
His use of montages of short shots creates and extremely fast pace; a literal representation of chaos and stress of the the protagonist, Max. Aronofsky takes his audience into the mind of genius and paranoia and delivers the message our world cannot be defined and understood completely through mathematics.
