Review of Pi (1998) by Tuukka P — 20 Jan 2013
Darren Aronofskys minimal budgeted black/white debut film is a story about Max a mathmetacian whos discovery of a certain numeric code leads him being hunted by Wall Street bankers and religious scholars.
Many of the early-Aronofsky trademarks (montage cuts and audial/visual tricks) which were perfected in the following Requeim For A Dream are in work here and although this is clearly work of a new film maker you'll see the genious of Aronofsky in the whole.
