Review of Pi (1998) by T S — 26 Sep 2009
Fascinating and intense, Pi captures the teetering relationship between insanity and genius (Sol: "This is insanity, Max." | Max: "Or maybe it's genius"). Black and white gritty film, the camera work also establishes the environments of paranoia, claustrophobia, and mind splitting headaches extremely well, and maybe almost too well.
The movie suffers from spotty acting and dialogue. -- B-.
