Review of Phone Booth (2003) by Javier V — 29 Aug 2010
If you can get past the profanity of Collin, this film is intense and a whopper!
The film begins on the last day of a phone booth's existance... it is planned for removal in another day. As a sign of an earlier, less techno day, the booth is fast becoming archaic.
Better not cheat on your wife, as a Godlike person watches the moves of several people and wacks them for their sinning ways. I found it a treat to hear this off camera guy's voice... we've all heard it in commercials, etc. We never see this guy, but he has his rifle sight on Collin all the time Collin is in a phone booth. The action takes place in one day. Very good, tense thriller, but a might unbelivable. Collin could make a run for it and most anyone would, but he is being blackmailed into listening to this assasin on the phone. We do see him at the very end, but when Collin is delusional from medication.
Check it out, if you can stand the tension and profanity.
