Review of Phone Booth (2003) by Bill C — 12 Sep 2010
I never felt any empathy for Collin Farrels character and that keeps this movie from really working for me. It was so un-memorable I DVR-ed it and when I was done I noticed I rented it before. Forest Whitaker is the troubled sergeant who pick-up the gauntlet to resolve the situation, but his heart felt acting did not even blend into the quick cut hand held of directing the movie.
Equally disconnected ate the roles of Radha Mitchell his wife and Katie Holmes his mistress. In the end the rambling Kiefer Sutherland is as exciting as a book on tape.
