Review of Phone Booth (2003) by Kieran F — 25 Jun 2013
For the most part this movie is pretty good. Its entertaining and builds suspense nicely. The caller really ground my gears which I guess is a good thing.
I had two really big problems with this movie.
1. The caller.
The caller was a pretty terrible person and he built suspense nicely but he lacked motive other than asking for the man to come clean about un-pure thoughts he's had and be a good person This really isnt enough to carry a movie like this.
2. The end.
This movie is short and thats not really an issue, except nothing seems to be accomplished. The guy learns to be a good person but I don't really understand the whole point of the movie. It talks of cell phone use and then stops.
The end they shoe the caller and I wish they'd left that out to preserve some mystery.
Overall, decent thriller, good cast but lacked story.
