Review of Phone Booth (2003) by Taija H — 29 Mar 2014
Caller- "Don't even think about leaving that booth".
Joel Schumacher, and don't get me wrong, is not the smartest director, nor the best. His last current films weren't actually good at all, like 8mm, batman and robin, bad company, and more.
But, Colin Farrell makes this movie a fast paced thriller, above it detours of foul language. You will mostly get what you expected. Phone Booth is the most unlikely movie is become a thriller.
It's starts of like a documentary about phones, and how there's so many phones ringing at once and all, but after the first 10 minutes. The movie gets pounding, suspenseful, and it's a lot to follow to get on track. It's obviously absurd at some points, has its weird twists and turns, and the movie isn't as long as it should be.
But, I loved the film, the cast was awesome, (particularly Kiefer Sutherland), it lives up to its full potential. So phone booth, is a go!
