While this story is sadly outdated in the year 2009, the emotions it brings to the viewer are still real and heart-rending, especially in regards to the illness and death of a loved one. Both Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington turn in stellar performances.
I would have liked to have seen more of Jason Robards as well.
