Groundbreaking for its time and with a message that still speaks to generations today, 'Philadelphia' is brought to life by the Oscar-winning performance of Tom Hanks. Andrew Beckett is a former lawyer who brings a wrongful termination suit against his law firm.
He is helped by the at first reluctant Joe Miller (Denzel Washington). As a legal thriller, this has aged a bit, but its social consciousness cannot be ignored.
