Review of Phenomena (1985) by Chris M — 01 Jun 2007
It's hard for me to justify my love for this film.
It's all over the place plot wise and the dubbing can sometimes be strange. I think every odd quirk the film has adds to it's aura of bizzareness. That's the same for most of Dario Argento's films.
It's not Dario's best work, but it's a nice mishmash of Giallo traditions and supernatural terror. I think it suceeds in creating it's own world where anything can happen.
Another one of Argento's brilliant, surreal nightmares.
