Review of Phenomena (1985) by Jesper S — 31 May 2008
A bizarre hybrid of mystery and sci-fi with varying horror elements. Connelly and Pleasance are good together and we wish they were in every scene. What hurts this film is poor dubbing and bad English spoken accents by Italian actresses.
By the time it ends it's just as needlessly overplotted and convoluted as the rest of it and you're left with a feeling of uncertainty of what you just witnessed. However, it is rewatchable and grows on you on repeat viewings and a trippy flick.
