Review of Phat Girlz (2006) by Olivia A — 24 Jun 2007
I liked this alot...I found humor in this movie as well, hehe...But it also shows that women are strong creatures, and no matter what we go thru in life- we overcome cause we gangsta like that, lol...j/k.
But seriously, It shows also it shouldn't and it doesn't matter how you look physically, its the inner you that shows the beauty and strength of your character. Reguardless how clique` it sounds, its still true.
And once people as a whole accept that and learn to love each other, we can move on. That's why I have so much love for Mo`nique because she isn't afaird of who she is, and she doesn't try to change because this "look" is on the cover of every Vogue magazine.
No, she accepts herself. Which I find inspirational, because that is a key factor in what these girls need in a role model today, because not everyone can look like the typical 5'11+ slim framed models you see on the catwalk.
...No ain't happening. So big ups to her, we all need to embrace who we are.
