It is so common in movies to see overweight middle aged men either married to or seduced by beautiful women...or both (think "Couples Retreat"). You hardly ever see overweight middle aged women with attractive men. Turnabout is fair play. I just wish Mo'Nique's winning personality could carry this well intentioned comedy through.
Mo'Nique and her friend are plus sized women who are tired of American men rejecting them for skinny beautiful women. They meet a group of hot guys from Nigeria who feel that big women are the real beauties.
The idea is nice and a welcome twist, but the film still feels much more like a fantasy and the laughs just aren't that often.
