Director Paul Thomas Anderson, to me is one of interesting film maker in our generation. I've been enjoying his film since The Master and his films always had been a characters studies in the old ages (at least one that I've seen). This one is in 1950s era in London, he has a way to bring you to the story & setting, just with visuals alone. It feels so authentic & real, it's almost like I have visited these places. A stunning achievement!!

Actings are great as well, from main characters to supporting roles and once again the casts & crews did amazing job at creating this film. ( Fashion design fans might enjoyed this film for its vintage dresses that feature s).

As a core story & theme for the film, this film reminds me of 'Gone Girl' where gone girl has more commercial aspect of it, that it can be seen & shown to many people, where as Phantom Thread plays in the independent film market, thus only reach to selected groups of audience. Perhaps that might be the downfall of the film, everyone can have different opinions...

Nonetheless I enjoyed watching this film & kinda want to see it again, really interesting take on love & relationship that makes you think again and again...??
