Strung out, pretentious, and poetic; it is clear Phantom Thread isn't for everyone. While the film has romantic and poetic elements, meaning and overarching beauty, it seemed to hold its head high and thumb at anyone who wante entertained.
If you're looking for 130 minutes of a poetic story I could have told in 300 words, this movie is for you.
